i like to contribute where i can, and this is something i find time for in my busy schedule.

 

after recent merge i started collating some more missing ones and noticed that while networks is still available in the TV view, studios doesn't appear in the movies view.

 

has this been removed intentionally?

Yes, that was removed quite a while ago.  The fact you are just now noticing is mostly the reason .

Honestly only used movie studio as a way to contribute - and just now went in there as i had been waiting for a merge to be completed

 

is there any intentions of doing away with the tv networks section as well? happy to contribute more there, but if its going away obviously not worth my time.

Not at this time because the studio networks list is generally much smaller and doesn't require as much manual curation. And users tend to be more aware that a show is a netflix show, hbo show, etc. So there's a little more value there.
