sfnetwork 514 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I would LOVE to see a global notification plugin in MB Server with options for notification platforms: -PushOver (https://pushover.net/) -Growl / Prowl (http://www.prowlapp.com/) -Pushalot (https://pushalot.com/) -Email (SMTP) -And more CouchPotato, SickBeard, PlexNotify, etc.. all have it. I think it's time MB3 gets it This could send notifications on: -New movies, TV show episode, music album, trailer added in library -When user watch something (MB user, media and platform used) -MB server issues (need restart, updates, failed scheduled tasks, etc...) And more cool notifications I'm sure. 3
snazy2000 344 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 If I get time in my busy schedule I am look in to this I've done push over notifications before for web project Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
mediacowboy 438 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 +1, more for server notifications then anything else.
sfnetwork 514 Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Would be cool to have MB in there (promoting at the same time ) 1
sfnetwork 514 Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Would really be awesome with MB icon on iOS/Android PushOver app: Edited March 26, 2014 by sfnetwork
JayAre 11 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Auto-Organize MBS notification would be awesome. I'm not comfortable automatically overwriting existing episodes. Notifications of Completed, Failed, and Skipped TV episodes in Auto-Organize would be a great addition.
snazy2000 344 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) Only problem that could happen with PushOver is that they limit to 7500 messages and not sure if that would be enough. Its then $50 for extra 10,000. We would need to get each user to register the application under there own name Edited March 26, 2014 by snazy2000

Its then $50 for extra 10,000. We would need to get each user to register the application under there own name That's around 250 per day... seems enough... (if I understood correctly) I'm also using/testing PlexNotify which has this limitation and never went close to this limit (and I enabled all the small notifications like "pauses", "progress", etc...) As for each user configuring the application in PushOver, simple and easy procedure, don't think that would be an issue. But PushOver is just one of them. When/if we have a notification plugin in MBS, adding/optimizing providers/platforms could be done after depending on feedback. Edited March 26, 2014 by sfnetwork
mezz64 14 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Notify My Android support would be nice. It's already included in most of the automator apps (Couch, Sick, NzbDrone, SAB, Nzbget, Headphones, etc.) and works quite well. 1
MrLinford 62 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I see email, prowl, pushalot and pushover have been added. Is this list going to increase?

snazy2000 344 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I will look in to pushbullet at some point. Notify My Android uses the same options as Prowl (guessing is the same thing but for android) so shouldnt be hard to just change over. I will look at this when get time 2
snazy2000 344 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 You should find Notify My Android in the catalog Still need to make an image for it 1

TheCaptain 11 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Neither Prowl or Notify My Android are working: Both show up as Prowl in the installed plugin list. Both say Notify My Android in the configuration screen. Neither will save configuration or send test notification.

As for Prowl, test notification doesn't work yet but it works with all notifications.
sfnetwork 514 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Notify My Android plugin should be now fixed same with Prowl You may need to clear your browser cache for it to pick up the changes Prowl test notification function works fine now, thanks!
J e f f 3 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Prowl is working awesome on my iPhone so far of what I've tested. Except I have it set up to only notify me when a certain user is viewing video. But it notifies me when any user is viewing video.
