JamieBond 1 Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Most of my TV shows are box sets which are either bluray or 4k, is it possible to give them the same treatment as movies and if so how can I do this? Rather than displaying TV show case and season cases, I would just like to display them in bluray cases or 4k cases the same as the movies, so I can easily tell the format they're in e.g bluray or 4k
ebr 16169 Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Hi. No, this isn't possible at this time and would be a bit tricky since a TV show and season are not media themselves and could, in fact, contain multiple types of media.

Is it possible in the future that TV shows/Season metadata has a dropdown field to give you the choice between Bluray/DVD/UHD? With that information, Coverart plugin could give out a proper media type Coverart instead of the generic TV Series one. Edited March 31, 2021 by shorty1483

Is there any documentation or manual around so I can try it out? Edited March 31, 2021 by shorty1483
ebr 16169 Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Just give the item a tag of "ca-[casetype]" where [casetype] is one of the types you see in the "Select specific types" list. e.g. ca-bd, ca-hd, ca-sd. Honestly, I'm not sure if we implemented this for anything other than movies but give it a shot.

Did that, tried it in two ways (ca-BD and ca-bd), unfortunately it seems this does not work out for TV shows, just for movies.
