Is it possible to remove camera uploads & collections from the home screen on my devices used to view emby such as apple TV, roku & fire tv?

Hmm can you check,and disable admin/users access.

Not sure what you mean but I can not find anywhere a place to check or uncheck these 2 items from appearing on the dashboard.

Nope. It's only for ability to delete items from folder.

Do you use that library and upload pictures? If not, just remove it. Otherwise, I don't see a way to have it not appear. Or not allow access to it for that user.

I don't do camera uploads because I copy my photos onto my PC first & I do not use collections. I'll see if I can delete the folders.

For collections, you can click the settings button next to My Media on the web app.  Then turn off collections on home screen

Currently there is a option in the Beta and app.emby.media to hide Collections via User icon-Home Screen-Collections.

 

Yes there needs to be a switch added for Camera Uploads also or auto hide if empty like Playlists. @@Luke

Side note it would appear this is overwritten with server updates.

Yea, NO KIDDING - THERE NEEDS TO BE A SETTING FOR THIS (HELLO EMBY DEVELOPMENT!) Just like there is for "Collections"

I NEVER setup such a library and the fact that it is an 'embedded' one is just fine if Emby has that capability - BUT TO IMPACT THE USER (NEEDLESSLY) IS NOT OK...  It is apparent that it is a 'feature' when looking at the Library settings as it shows /config/data for both Collection and Camera libraries; GREAT that it is there [ready] to be used, BUT IT SHOULD NOT APPEAR ON THE HOME SCREEN IF NOT DESIRED.  (No I don't intend to delete it so it would have to be setup later for any use.)  By virtue of the fact that "Collection" can be easily removed through use of a checkbox, BUT CAMERA CANNOT just shows what an obvious oversight this is...  End result - Home Screen looks like crap with a [presently] useless box appearing that PUSHES ALL USED ITEMS DOWN BY A WHOLE LINE. A really bad presentation, necessitating otherwise unneeded scrolling to see some REAL info.

By the way - nice of you to include a 'hack', but I wouldn't expect any end-user to go 'hacking' to fix such a coding oversight that should readily be fixed. This is obviously an issue or I wouldn't have found this page (looking to resolve the issue) where people have run across the same problem.

The only thing I found was this...

 

 

Which doesn't get rid of it. Personally don't particularly mind its presence (though others do) I just hate that its empty so its the only bright red block on the screen otherwise filled with the stripy things which I like. OK it would be preferable for it not to be there if there's nothing in it.

Thanks, that seems to have worked. Would never have thought to look under Users though. Can see why Luke is trying to keep the 'just add it as an option' brigade (including me) under control...

...not saying its not a logical location and you developer chappies obviously put a lot more thought into it than I would.
