Batch editing movie.xml

Hi

 

I need to batch edit all my movie.xml in order to remove all those annoying tags with US MPAA ratings:

<ContentRating>PG-13</ContentRating>

  <certification>PG-13</certification>

 

I only want to keep

<MPAARating>'correct localised rating here'</MPAARating>

 

Is there a tool available to do this? Can someone point me into a direction to do this?

@@yaksplat has some pretty good powershell skills as he demonstrated in this thread.

 

His script from that thread probably only needs a bit of tweaking to do what you want.

Fyi, you want to use ContentRating and not MPAARating. After the questions yesterday i decided I've gotten tired of answering them. I let the developers of other tools know we'll no longer be duplicating values in multiple fields. We'll still support importing them, but not when we save. So ContentRating was chosen over MPAARating and certification.
