mgherghi 0 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 I cant find the option in advanced anymore , can anyone shed any light ?
mgherghi 0 Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Im trying to force https redirect and completely get rid of http .. is this still possible ?
mgherghi 0 Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 I have but it still leaves the http port accessible
Luke 42078 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Why do you feel that way? How are you verifying this?
mgherghi 0 Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 Because even after a restart , the port shows that it's open in my dashboard settings. Whereas in the previous version , it wouldnt show the http port , just the https.
Luke 42078 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 Ok no, that's not a correct way of judging it. You still need the local port open for traffic inside your local network. I think you are fine.
mgherghi 0 Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 I didn't need it on the last version. On the previous version, it only had the secure port open and wouldn't allow the local port. That is what I am trying to accomplish again. I don't want to leave the local port to http
Luke 42078 Posted May 5, 2018 Posted May 5, 2018 No, sorry, it always had the local port open. The only reason it wouldn't display a local address on the emby server dashboard is if it were unable to detect one. Just because the port is open in Emby server doesn't mean it's open to the world. I think maybe you are confusing the two. You can still close it off from the internet using your router settings, and that will be fine.
