iPenguin02 5 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 1. Anyway to remove the options for Media Folders on the web browsing main page? 2. Is there a way to remove menu button inside the web browser after click on media type? The menu buttons I am referring to are the ones at the top of each selected media page Movies: Latest - Suggested - Movies - Trailers - Genres - People Studios <--- Want to remove some options / rearrange TV Shows: Suggested - Latest - Upcoming - Shows - Episodes - Genres - Networks <--- Want to remove some options / rearrange
Luke 42078 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Not yet but i'm sure eventually we'll have those kinds of options.
iPenguin02 5 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) I would happily wait for that feature. Media browser3 makes me regret wasting money on plex pass lifetime.. Since that was a simple answer, I have some other issues with Media Browser and do not want to create another thread, For my TV shows, Media Browser is saving image (.jpg) files within my media folders. It is creating files like season01-landscape.jpg, season02-poster.jpg for each season within a show's folder (Californication, Walking Dead, etc..). I did not see an option to save images and metadata remotely. Lastly, How do you save you're settings and metadata remotely? Just in case my server crashes and and my restore process would be to just reload my settings and metadata. I edited all items individually, I would hate yo edit each again. Luke 42078 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 what do you mean remotely? you can turn off "save artwork and metadata within media folders", and then they'll just be saved to our internal database.
iPenguin02 5 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Sorry, I was not more clear. I do have that option unchecked. Yet art work is still saved within the media folder. What i meant by remotely is saved to a selected folder.
Solution Luke 42078 Posted March 25, 2014 Solution Posted March 25, 2014 when did you uncheck that? it's possible some images were downloaded before the setting was changed. changing it isnt' going to delete the existing images. but as long as you've configured it you should be good from here on out. 1
iPenguin02 5 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Good point Luke, I never had the option checked. I will try checking it, then unchecking, then delete the images and see if they reappear. Thanks for the suggestion, i will report back
iPenguin02 5 Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Issue resolved. Deleted the extra metadata from the folder and it never regenerated in my media folder.
