Poster images corrupt. CoverArt processing issue?

Running Server v3.3.1.0 with CoverArt v4.0.70.0

As you can see from the images attached I am seeing some, not all, poster images for movies not showing properly.

The first you can see the disk icons not showing correctly. The disk images are showing correctly in the individual movies.

The second seems to have misaligned the image.

The third is just not showing?!?!

These "Primary" images are the same if I look in the "edit images" section of these films.

If I download the Primary image again for a collection (for the disk issue) or a movie (for the other 2 issues) it seems to correct itself.

I have tried a full "Refresh Metadata" on the Movies folder but it seems to correct some but break others.

I guess this is a CoverArt issue?

are you on a lower power system? you may want to consider not running cover art.

Hello, I have the same problem. I don't use cover art, but I do not have covers in Kodi and also no covers when I browse the library directly in a web browser.

Emby Version 3.3.1.0

Another thing I am noticing is that I have disabled autoupdate, and still it does automatic updates. I think this should not happen.

If you don't use cover art, then you're not having the same problem. Please see how to report a problem. Thanks.

@@Luke, the server is plenty powerful enough (i3 7100T with 16GB ram running on SSD's)

Never had a problem before, just started noticing these in the last couple of weeks.

@@Luke, when you say not running CoverArt, do you mean uninstall or is there a way to simply disable it?

If I uninstall and reinstall later will it keep the settings I had for it?

Posted

Uninstall. Yes it will keep the settings.

Uninstalled and restarted server. I now get the same but without CoverArt

Strange. I know that the image library we use uses hardware acceleration. I would make sure that both windows and hardware drivers are up to date.

I've just updated everything on the server even down the the BIOS (Thanks Spectre!)

Well we're going to update the graphics library soon so let's see what happens then. Thanks.

The latest beta has updated our graphics library so you could try that. You'll want to clear out the server's cache/images folder if you do.

I only have my main Emby server running right now so don't really want to beta test if it might cause issues as I'll get a load of family members moaning! :)

Did the change to the graphics library go out with Server v3.4.1.0?

To clear the cache, would I just stop Emby Server, delete everything under C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache and then restart Emby?

No, it's in the beta.

Just want to try clearing the cache and letting Emby recreate it all just to see if this helps.

@@Luke, if I wanted to try the BETA, how would I do that?

Instructions are on the website.

Hmmm well clearing the cache made no difference, still corrupt poster images.

Can't really do anything with the BETA right now as I don't have time to run a parallel install.

:(

I even see the corruption in the cache!
