lanos 4 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I would like to be able to put boxsets within other boxsets example- Avengers- Ironman collection Iron Man Iron Man 2 Iron Man 3 Thor collection Thor 1 Thor 2 Marvel one shots Captain America Avengers in this example within the avengers boxset I would want it to contain the boxsets of ironman, thor and the marvel one shots 1
sasaba 5 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 This is currently doable as I have done exactly what you are mentioning in your example. I do not use autoboxsets or pointer directories and files, I have set up everything in my movies folder structure. I created Folder structures for each of the collections with respective move folders inside, allowed the metadata to be loaded by MBS then moved the Ironman and Thor boxsets folders into the Avengers boxset folder as well as the Hulk and Captain America folders. I would assume you could do this also if using pointer directories and files. I may not be using quite the right terminology but hopefully understandable. As long as you have a collection.xml file in the top and nested collection folders it will work.
lanos 4 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 I had it set up like that as well, until I switched to auto boxset (trying to make as much of my organizing as automatic as possible). the plan was to let auto boxset do what it does with the main boxsets then, through the server, make a custom boxset containing the others that auto boxset made. that plan failed
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 The auto boxset plugin is limited in this regard. I have set up something similar to above for my Animated Disney collection which has dozens of movies and hundreds of shorts. The Media Folder is Disney Animation and the various box sets are within it. Each one manually created and managed.
