Nearly all tracks gets lumped into the same album despite correct metadata

The currently playing song has correct metadata (have also run refresh all metadata). The 'find more from same album' takes me to an incorrect album, which contains nearly all or all tracks in the collection.

Hi, what is the folder structure for these?

All that stuff that gets lumped into the same metadata album is in 'Music/A/' subfolders. That folder is not a collection of top-level tracks, but of 'album' folders or 'artist/album' folders..

That's very strange. I wonder if the years in the folder names are fooling it into treating it like a multi-disc album.

 

In any event, we will soon begin working on a newer scanning process for music that won't utilize folder names at all and then this shouldn't happen anymore. Thanks.

Any progress on this? The indexing is just rubbish. Album doesn't appear in folder view nor under artist. It's just impossible to play an album suffering the above problem, you have to search 1 song at a time.
