Pirlo1966 22 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Latest MB server, clients are MB Theater and MB Classic. All metadata including correct local MPAA ratings are stored in local movie.xml However, at some point, I messed with a setting within MB server to fetch metadata. Since that moment, about 20% of my movies in MB 3 show US MPAA ratings insteda of the localised ones which are still correct in the movie.xml I deleted a dozen times the dbase and even edited metadata through the server but still the US MPAA rating is shown instead of the localised one of the movie.xml. What cache shoudl I delete or what should i do in order to have MB server read out the localised MPAA ratings?
Solution ebr 16177 Posted March 24, 2014 Solution Posted March 24, 2014 Do you have your metadata country set properly in configuration? When you say "proper in xml" in what tag? There are at least three of them so if they aren't all in sync, there is no telling what you'll get. 1
Pirlo1966 22 Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Do you have your metadata country set properly in configuration? Yes,and I disabled all fetching and saving since I just don't trust automatic metadata. Had some very bad experiences in the past messing up my accurate metadata. When you say "proper in xml" in what tag? <MPAARating>correct lcoalised rating here</MPAARating> But indeed I found those tags with US MPAA <ContentRating>PG-13</ContentRating> <certification>PG-13</certification> How to get rid of those tags? And why does MB server uses those tags? Edited March 24, 2014 by ehgeahrev
ebr 16177 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 We have to read and write them to maintain compatibility with other metadata managers. To synchronize them, use our web editor.
