Codec Intros?

Alright, my codec issue probably wont be resolved but I'll keep testing with files from this site.  I'm kinda hooked on these little intros though.  I have about twelve of them so far.

I have a few files in each codec folder, and a few files in my video intro folder.  Only one video intro plays but I get two codec intros playing.  Is this normal, and I should trim each codec folder down to one video?  This is in EMC.  I should also say that my movie isn't playing at the end of the intros in EMC.  I tested in the web app, and multiple codec intros play but so does everything else that is supposed to.  Not a big deal for me because I can trim these folders down but if it means something has broken, now you know about it.

It should only play one of each, and however many trailers, you select. I wonder if it's playing a codec intro for each audio track in the movie? Do they correlate?

I haven't gotten trailers working just yet so I turned those off.  I just tried this out, and it played my intro video, one codec video, and not the movie in EMC.  If I can find a movie where it plays more than one codec intro then I'll make note of the file.  Could this be like some trailer issues in the past where a name was too long if I'm not mistaken?  I can try giving each codec video a name like 1 2 etc.

Are you trying to use an external player in EMC?

 

Can you reproduce your scenario and then post the EMC (not server) log?

How to Report a Problem

I'm not using an external player, and I don't really get problems with cinema mode disabled.  The videos not playing could be related to network issues because I could not reproduce the problem today (I'm working on fixing these).  I'm attaching a log because I got two codec intro videos for some files, and I'm not sure if emby is seeing two separate tracks on the movie or what.  I typically create files with a dolby digital, and 7 channel surround track.  My codec folders are named:  dts, truehd, dts-hd ma, ac3, aac,3d.  The two movies that played two codec intros were Kong skull island, and guardians of the galaxy.  I'm guessing I can figure out which codec folders to use from lines such as these?

Your intros are all on your C: drive so it's likely not network related.

If the main movie failed to play, then that could be.

Right I don't have a problem getting the intros to play, but I'm not sure why more than one intro plays.

I would review your cinema mode settings. Is there still a problem at this point?

I don't understand why two codec intros are playing. I want to find a way to limit emby to one codec intro regardless of file type or properties I. E. Have emby limit the intros to one codec video for the audio track and maybe one for any other tag. That way let's say I play an mkv file with Dolby digital and truehd file properties. I would get a video for the truehd audio, and maybe a video for the mkv file type. I want to limit the codec videos to one video per file property. Does that make sense?

Hi.  Those messages are purely about display items and will not affect any intro selection.  The intro selection process is handled entirely on the server.
