Setup Basics - Missing Metadata

Hi,

 

I'm new to Emby having recently become fed up with Plex.

 

I've set up my server on my laptop, connecting my NAS to a chromecast.

 

All's good and everything plays well (unlike Plex), however no metadata is being downloaded at all. I've checked the forums and have followed advice about ticking all the boxes that I can see regarding downloading metadata. No joy. Curiously, I'm unable to access the plugins page.

 

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Hi Luke,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

 

I've just checked the logs and the connections seemed to be failing - turned out that Little Snitch has set default rules to block the server's outgoing traffic. All sorted now.
