massilliaman 4 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 hello I ask you a little help, I install server emby on NVIDIA SHIELD TV, and my problem is that with the application android tv emby, all my movies read with TRANSCODAGE (with error direct play). All my film is on my nas synology (I said that everything works very well with the emby server that is on my NAS).I think it is a problem of Path Substitution but I do not solve the problem. But it's something else I do not knowI tried :Direct path: /storage/MY-NAS2/VIDEOS/Animees (it's ok for create mediatheque)Path Substitution:- nfs://192.168.0.18//volume1/VIDEOS/Animees/ (works if server on NAS not with emby server android).- /storage/MY-NAS2/VIDEOS/Animees (does not work)- smb://MY-NAS2/VIDEOS/Animees (does not work)Thanks for your help.Sorry for my english google translation
Luke 42077 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Hi there, can we please look at some examples? Please attach the information requested in how to report a problem: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.

massilliaman 4 Posted April 25, 2018 Author Posted April 25, 2018 android tv app, app work fine with my synolgy emby server
ebr 16169 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 As you mentioned, the app is attempting a direct play but it is failing. If that only happens with this server, it must be some sort of path substitution or access permission issue. Since the app is able to transcode, I would try removing the optional network path definitions in the Shield server and see if that works.
massilliaman 4 Posted April 25, 2018 Author Posted April 25, 2018 hi, already try it does not work at all: no reading With : \\My-nas2\videos\Action (reading but transcoding) with : smb://192.168.0.18/volume1/VIDEOS/Action (reading but transcoding) with : nfs://192.168.0.18//volume1/VIDEOS/Action/ (reading but transcoding) thx.
Luke 42077 Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I'll put up a new update again soon so you can try that in case it might make a difference. thanks.
