Questions About The Automatic Setting In Transcoding

Hi,

 

Can I ask please what parameters are taken into account when the transcoder is set to "Let MBS Decide" ? What does it look for to decide how to encode? 

 

The reason I am asking is because I have a remote client HTPC & Android devices & would like to know more about how to set them all up....

right now it just looks at the number of cpu cores and picks one of the other settings based on that. i would just leave it on auto
