Delay connecting to Emby server?

Greetings,

 

Lately, I've been feeling like it takes Kodi a long time to connect to my Emby server. When I first installed the add-on about a month ago, felt like I got the "welcome to Emby" message within seconds of starting Kodi; now, it feels a log longer.

 

Could just be placebo, but I figured I'd capture a log to see if there's something afoot. As I look at the log, it appears it took about 16 seconds before Kodi connected to Emby, although I have set the delay to 0 seconds. Is that within a "normal" window?

Disable debug in Kodi. Not needed, unless required. Also, the delay could also be caused by the debug itself. But that's when Kodi started Emby for Kodi and 2 seconds later you were logged in.

 

Why are you running a manual sync anyway?

Cool. I will disable debug in Kodi and give it a try.

 

Not sure what you're referring to re the manual sync. Which setting is that? I using the fast startup plugin. Is that what you're referring to?

No, not the fast sync. A manual sync is to compare your content, I see it triggered maybe 40 seconds after you have been logged in. It will pull all content from emby, compare it to what's in Kodi and remove/add the differences.

Hmm. I didn't trigger it. Would might cause that?
