Anybody get this to work? I can talk to Emby Home and it asks for the default player by number. It does not, however, recognize me when I keep saying TWO for the Living Room TV Roku SG. Tried by name as well.

Emby Home doesn't understand "2" and quits.

I will test but numbers are defined as a correct reply. I've seen google home sometime confuse to and two.

 

Try saying Number two and seeing if that works better.

Following up... I came back to this later. I simply asked Emby Home to Play (insert name of show). And it immediately worked. So, setting the default may have worked previously, but the response message may have been incorrect. It seems to work OK now.

You can test this again if you wish. Saying set the player. Let me know if you still experience this issue. What was the device name you tried also?

 

I just tested with no issues.

I said, Hey Google Talk to Emby Home. Set Player. She said in a psuedo-sexy voice that Living Room is already set as default. Otherwise, it did respond to my commands. I did Hey Google Ask Emby Home to Play Legion. And it played the latest episode.

same issue. i set chrome as my default player first but now am trying to change ti to my chromecast. it askes me for the number.

That doesn't show you responding to the question for a number.  Did you?

You can't set the chromecast. It's the only player that is not compatible. [emoji20] There is no way for actions to communicate with chromecast directly (this api is not available). And it's not possible to send requests via your server because of the way it connects to it.

 

The numbers are displayed. Either 1 - nexus or 2 - chrome.

I had fun and games trying to get it to understand 2 for me - The others in the room were laughing so much.  Quite embarrassing.  I re-linked and the second time it was ok.

hmm. is there a way to set to up so that if i am controlling my phone which is then streaming to chromecast? It will stream the commands to chromecast?
