Show with 5 parts

HI,

 

I have show/movie which have multiple parts e.g. name in following way Name of show Part 1 or Part 2

 

I can see Part 1 but not able to see part 2 in show list but when I click on part 1 I can see Additional Parts.

 

When I modify the Part 2 or 3 where is the nfo file is saved because the nfo file inside the show folder is different and it keep replace it with default one.

 

I cant find the nfo file for part 2 or 3 or 4. I can see the part 1 nfo file.

Hi.  Our multiple part feature is designed for items that are arbitrarily broken into multiple files but are all still part of the same single movie.

 

It sounds like maybe what you have here is a mini-series and it should be setup as a TV show...

Where is the nfo saved because I cant find anything in the part 1.

 

I change the actor name in part 2 which doesn't existed in part 1

There is not going to be different metadata for the different parts unless you set this up as a mini series.

 

What show are we talking about?

If there are 5 episodes in a series it should be named as a TV series.  For example:

 

\\Server\Share\TV\Friends\Season 01\Friends S01E01 The One Where Monica Gets A Roommate.mkv

 

You can get the relevant show naming from thetvdb.com.

 

If it's a single video broken up into 5 parts then two things to consider:

 

1. You SHOULD only see part 1 in the UI.  The subsequent parts should playback automatically in order.
2. For the love of god, merge them into a single files with MKVToolnix.
