Safe to delete Movie.xml

As i understand movie.xml plays no part anymore - just confirming before i go on a mass delete them

 

I see there is a plugin for the xml saver - but is there actually any benefit to keeping them?

The plugin only allows Emby to read xml metadata.  So if you are not using the plugin and Emby create nfo metadata or only want metadata written to the database you can delete all xml metadata.

 

The metadata format is really a personal preference.
