Confused.... Emby Theater

     So I fired up ET the other day, and the interface looked just like the other apps and web gui....  I was like cool they changed it to match....  I fire up ET today and it looks like the regular ET interface...   What was that about?    Like it legit looked like the web gui, it played fine, everything worked as it should... Just looked like that interface.  Today back to ET looking gui.

humm  there were other settings as well, like the ability to pick default LAN and WAN resolutions.   and a  bunch of other goodies.

lol.... uhh  yea I'm looking now and there is nothing i can see to make it look like the web gui...    But why a few days ago would it have looked totally different than today.. Just trying to figure out whats going on..   I did find the video settings though lol  my bad there...

Here i was able to reproduce it randomly,  ET 3.0    One second my home screen looks like this, then i go into settings come out and it looks like the second pic.  Without me making any changes...

It needs to be in tv mode, and then select, this.

 

 

Then sign out or restart the app

That is how i already have it set...  and it produced both images above.   Thats why i is cornfused....      I never made changes, it seems like randomly it picks what it wants..    Ill keep playing around I guess and see if I can spot a pattern....

With your projector, I would also choose TV for the display mode, and not auto. Just in case.

Yes sir, I am able to switch between the two now....   But my original issue was it was switching between the two on its own..  (horz/vert) without me ever touching those settings.   both times I went into settings it said horizontal yet it was showing a vertical layout.      I didnt know you could switch that anyway lol, but to add to the confusion is that it was switching on its own..    and that is what im going to keep an eye on...  Im the only user of this PC...  soooo....   not sure what the deal is.

It's only for TV mode. What may have been happening is the app might not have always seen your display as a TV....and was alternating. That's why I suggested manually selecting TV mode and not auto. Give it an anchor...so to speak

I'm having this exact same issue. The settings didn't seem to stick. After a few tries, the settings are now sticking. Maybe some sort of a glitch after an update?

I'm having trouble switching back to the vertical view on my LG Tv.  Can't access the settings from the horizontal view.

I've tried changing the settings to TV mode in http://tv.emby.media but I get no "TV mode home screen" settings.

Nevermind, it's now in the home settings.  Basically, put it in TV mode in display settings and switch to home settings...  Voila!
