No subtitles in windows

Hello,

I am running the latest version on a windows 8.1 server.   I also have the emby for roku enabled.   I am unable to get subtitle on playback on my PC, either on the server, or through a client.   However I get subtitles just fine on my rokus connecting to the same server.

 

I am guessing that there is a simple switch or keystroke to get subtitles back.

 

The subtitles are encoded.   But it also will not work if I download the SRT as well.

I am watching a series that is from Norway.  It has subtitles in it.   I know this because when I play it on the Rokus through emby I see the subtitles.

 

When I play it through emby Windows client or server, I don't see the subtitles.

 

That is as plain as I can state the problem.
