Luke 42078 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 So i guess you're probably using our older install package from OBS right?
bigeyez 10 Posted April 16, 2018 Author Posted April 16, 2018 (edited) Hi I am not sure , how do I tell that? I thought I downloaded the deb package (the latest release) from the download page. I have a working emby-server 3.3.1.0+68.2 version, I just wanted to try the latest beta. Edited April 16, 2018 by bigeyez
Luke 42078 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Can you attach a startup server log from your stable install? thanks.

Luke 42078 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Ok yes that's our old install package. Switching to our newer one is recommended but will require a complete uninstallation and purge. And in your case it looks like you will also need systemd.
bigeyez 10 Posted April 16, 2018 Author Posted April 16, 2018 Do you also mean purging the database etc too? OR do you mean just the install files? Ok yes that's our old install package. Switching to our newer one is recommended but will require a complete uninstallation and purge. And in your case it looks like you will also need systemd.
Luke 42078 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Purge as in the uninstall purge command, and yes that will wipe that folder i'm pretty sure. However, if you want to try just installing the new package you can. Depending on the age of your old installation it might just work. But it also might cause some problems so you may want to back up the program data directory. 1
bigeyez 10 Posted April 16, 2018 Author Posted April 16, 2018 Can I just use instead Emby.Mono.zip if I do not care about setting it up a a service?
Luke 42078 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 No, but you could use our netcore zip however we don't really have a process documented for you to do that, so you're going to end up with a lot of trial and error.
