So i have Guy Martin collection from my DVD'shttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm4349757/In my Tv shows i have Speed with Guy Martin but it has put all his Series / Episodes into that Show! How do i separate them into individual shows? In PLEX i click Separate and then edit it manually So i would have Speed with Guy Martin, Guy Martins Spitfire, Guy Martins WW II tank etc as separate shows. Its been bugging me and i cant Resolve itCheers Lee

Deathsquirrel 745 Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Each movie/show should be in its own folder. Movies should ideally use the themoviedb.com naming conventions and shows the thedvdb.com conventions. For example: \\Server\Share\TV\Speed with Guy Martin\Season 01\Speed with Guy Martin S01E01 Britain's Fastest Cyclist.mkv \\Server\Share\TV\Speed with Guy Martin\Season 01\Speed with Guy Martin S01E02 Hydroplaning Bike.mkv \\Server\Share\Movies\Guy Martin's Spitfire (2014)\Guy Martin's Spitfire (2014).mkv Note that in this specific scenario there is some overlap. Guy Martin's Spitfire and other TV documentaries are also on thetvdb.com so you could choose to record them as TV entries instead, following the conventions above. There are other supported naming formats. I recommend these as they work 100% of the time in my experience. If you pull your names from those two sites you WILL get your shows recognized very reliably. I recommend keeping TV and movies in separate libraries, set to the correct type, rather than mixing them though there is a mixed library type. Again, this is about minimizing errors in the scraping.

Orion328 1 Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 (edited) you might try eliminating the folder "Guy Martin" and just keeping the seperate folders like "Guy Martin World War I Tank" etc.TV Guy Martin World War I Tank Guy Martin How Britain Worked etc.instead ofTV Guy Martin Guy Martin World War I Tank Guy Martin How Britain Worked etc. Edited April 17, 2018 by Orion328
Luke 42081 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 @@leeknight1981 Are they supposed to be separate series? Then yes please try that, thanks.
