jscoys 147 Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Hello guys, It seems some of my users are used to put the playback in “pause” instead of “stopping”. So sometimes, I’m having this forever because the guys don’t resume the video for several hours or days: So can you have a sort of timeout and kick out the videos that remain in pause status for 12 hours for instance?
Luke 42078 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Thank you for your patience while waiting for a response. 1
computerprep 148 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 This would be great. I'm having this problem right now. Eventually, they do disappear, but it's hours. A single hour timeout would be appropriate with resume capabilities upon the user's return. Is there a way admins can manually kick/boot a user? 1
Luke 42078 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 We don't yet have this for Chromecast but i agree it's a good idea. Thanks.
jscoys 147 Posted June 28, 2018 Author Posted June 28, 2018 Hello Luke, IMO it’s not a “good idea”, it’s an issue. If you give access to people from Chromecast and they do not click on “stop” button (what’s generally the case) you’ve got their entries on the dashboard forever and it leads to a big mess. Moreover, you’ve got thousands of heart beatings connections between Chromecast devices and the server (in the logs)... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Luke 42078 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 With the next release you can always delete the device from the server and it will sign them out. 1
