LG TV - Internal player only 1080P - 4K realizable?

I suspect the LG is the problem and was hoping for a new TV (Oled C8) which could go now.

But Emby also displays FullHD there under Player dimension.

Is there a way to 4K with the Emby app or do you have to use
connect an external player?

It will play 4K.  The player dimensions are based on the app resolution (1920x1080), but the video content will be played correctly in 4K if that is the format.

 

For example:

 

Player Dimensions: 1920 x 1080
Video Resolution: 3840 x 2160

i have updated to 3.4 and reinstall my server after a glitch with windows 10 april update so live tv is broken... my issue is now my player dimensions is now set to 1280x720 how do i change that. there is no setting to change the app dimensions size why would that change. need help cause that is just jarring the images all looks over sized on my 4k screen

That is just the UI, not the video resolution. We will remove that line from the information.

okay is there away to fix it cause a few days ago it was showing 1920x1080 but now its 1280x720 and the app images all look oversized (the icons and library posters) has this changes for reasons? and is there away to change it back.
