hackthis02 130 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Every since I upgraded to 3.3.1.0 on my RPi3 the server crashes after I try to watch on anything not connected to the same network. It will start to play the video but then after a few seconds of choppy playback on the device the program running on the server crash (or quits/exits?) Before posting I already tried reinstalling both emby and DietPI as a whole. is there something in the logs I'm missing? Thanks! ffmpeg-transcode-b870f387-8964-430a-b6c3-6761f0173bd4.txt server-63658972745.txt server-63658974513.txt server-63658974679.txt server-63658977659.txt
Luke 42078 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Hi, it looks like you're just not getting fast enough transcoding. Have you tried playing something that doesn't require any transcoding?
hackthis02 130 Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) Yes, I just played something that say Direct play in the dashboard (server-63658984527) I also included some logs where I was just tweaking setting in the dashboard and it crashed. server-63658983559.txt server-63658983629.txt server-63658983810.txt server-63658983988.txt server-63658984147.txt server-63658984223.txt server-63658984527.txt Edited April 10, 2018 by hackthis02
hackthis02 130 Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 I still can't find any reason for this issue. @@Luke, do you see anything in my second batch of logs that might point me in the right direction?
Luke 42078 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 I notice you're using our older install package. Are you open to trying a brand new installation using our newest one?
hackthis02 130 Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 Sure. Is that the one on the download page or do you have a link?
Luke 42078 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Correct yes, from the download page, but it will require a complete uninstall + purge of your existing version.
embidia 0 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I'm having the same problem after the latest update (to 3.3.1.0), it used to work fine. Emby just crashes after a few seconds,
