Fix audio delay

My sony smart tv introduces a huge delay (0.5 seconds) to the video signal but my marantz receiver only lets me delay the audio up to 200ms.  I need to delay it further so that the audio lines up with lip movement. What's the video subsystem you depend on for android tv direct play?  Do you have a link to the github?

My workaround is cifs with VLC. I only use Emby when I'm not home to play and the video and audio delay are about the same.

It's deprecated, so forking it for a mod would be quite the endeavour. Are there plans to move to AndroidX Media3?

Hi.  We already did quite a while ago.  We just still call it by the old name.
