ausvette 2 Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Updated from 2.9.6 to 3.0.0 and mpc-be no longer launches for playing mkv files. Video is played via internal player. I have same command line settings which worked with 2.9. to launch mpc-be Not just me, I have a friend uses emby theater on windows 10 and he has the same problem. Any thoughts? Thanks!
GhostRider 49 Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 (edited) In the external player settings is enable for "Video Files" still checked? Edited April 9, 2018 by GhostRider
ausvette 2 Posted April 9, 2018 Author Posted April 9, 2018 Yes In fact I checked every setting there!

ausvette 2 Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 Try unchecking 3D. Unchecking 3D results in mpc-be launching and plays. But on exit emby theater locks up just like it used with older versions of emby theater. I'm using mpc-be with madvr and lav filters. I thought this conflict problem between external player with madvr and lav filters with emby-theater was supposed to be fixed with 3.0.0?
Luke 42078 Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 It was fixed in 2.9.9 but had to be reverted unfortunately.
ausvette 2 Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 It was fixed in 2.9.9 but had to be reverted unfortunately. And the situation going forward? Is it possible for me to run 2.9.9 and stop it upgrading?
Luke 42078 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 I might be mistaken about the exact version number, somewhere from 2.96 - 2.99 it had to be reverted. We can try to restore the changes in the future as some of the libraries we use get updated.
ausvette 2 Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 Ok thanks. So in the meantime how I can download an old version version of emby theater and stop it updating? At the moment I can't play my 3d movies as they are mkvs and rely on the 3d option working to launch an external player for them. Last I checked the internal player won't play 3d isos and mkvs.
