frank84 1 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Hello, in android mobile app I'm getting an error: "No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or ...." Accessing via a browser is no problem. This issue is new, could be related to the new server version 3.3.1.0. On the android smartphone I was not able to generate a log. Is there a switch somewhere that must be enabled? Server log is attached. Any ideas? Thx, Frank server-log-emby-playback-issue.txt
Luke 42077 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 @@frank84 this looks https related. as a test can you try over plain http? thanks.
frank84 1 Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 I did just a quick try. Http is working, but Live-TV seems to be laggy even in http. I will log this tomorrow. Thx
Luke 42077 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 When did you originally install emby server, roughly?
frank84 1 Posted April 9, 2018 Author Posted April 9, 2018 (edited) ~1.5 years ago, maybe a bit less Need to postpone the log to tomorrow... Edited April 9, 2018 by frank84
Luke 42077 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Well, if you're willing to both uninstall and purge and install using our new install package: https://emby.media/download Then you are likely to see better performance and reliability as we've switched from the mono runtime to the Microsoft .net core runtime.
darkassassin07 652 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I have noticed this once or twice while streaming music 6-8hrs/day for the 5 days. I installed this emby server 9 days ago. Win 7 home premium 64bit Emby server v3.3.1.0 Emby for android v2.9.92

darkassassin07 652 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Next time I come across it, I'll grab some logs and make a topic for it. What causes that message to show up at all? As far as I know/have found, there is no option for max number of streams.
Luke 42077 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Currently it's a generic error message so it could be a number of different things.
frank84 1 Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) I just created a log of a http connection ( kEmby-log-http-stream-laggy.txt ) Live TV lags, it takes ages (2 min) to start a stream. Seems that I need to re-install the system, is there an easy way to transfer the settings (e.g. copying a specific folder)? Thx, Frank Edited April 10, 2018 by frank84
frank84 1 Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 OK, just found that here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Backup
sk8383 0 Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 I have same error too. is there only way to fix this is a re-install emby server? I had same error log like this. Mono.Btls.MonoBtlsException: Ssl error:10000416:SSL routines:OPENSSL_internal:SSLV3_ALERT_CERTIFICATE_UNKNOWN

frank84 1 Posted April 19, 2018 Author Posted April 19, 2018 Quick update: Wanted to reinstall the emby server with the new .net core runtime. I purged the old version and installed the new one as described, first it worked, but after I restored the backup it lagged somehow, plus I realized that the VDR TV plugin is not yet compiled for this new version. I installed it immediately on my productive system, therefore I switched back to the previous installation. Need to try it in a virtual machine first, before switching to my productive system.
aptalca 71 Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 (edited) I'm experiencing this also. It only happens when I connect from remote (over internet) As a quick test, on my phone, I connect to wifi, same lan as the server, play an episode, it direct plays, all good. Then I turn wifi off and switch to lte. Try to play the same file, I get the no compatible stream error. My server is accessible through my own domain name at port 8920. I also use my own ssl cert (letsencrypt) if that makes a difference. Connecting from the web browser works from both home wifi and in lte (but no direct play, it does http streaming) EDIT: I'm using the latest docker image on unraid for the server Edited April 28, 2018 by aptalca
