Helpmepls 0 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 (edited) The emby for andriod app makes my phone crash whenever I try to play a video. If I use the internal player it instantly crashes the UI but the video keeps playing. Then after 30seconds the app eventually crashes and makes my phone completely useless. If I use the external player(vlc) everything is smooth as a babybottom BUT (little pun there ) if I close the app and try to reopen the same video it gives me an promt error on the screen the location (then my local ip and the file location link is shown) could not be played. And I canot play that file again. Note:everything plays smooth and fine on the server(my pc) its just the app. Please help me find the solution to this because emby is the best software for my usecase and I do not want to use and other program because of this issue. curtisandtoni 0 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I'm having the exact same issue on a Samsung Note 5. Emby streams fine through internet, Nvidia Shield, and iPad.

mattykellyuk 18 Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 Hi having this problem too on my galaxy s7. I have only tested when direct playing but can't test transcoding as the phone freezes before I can change the setting.
