computerprep 148 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I've seen the thread about auto organizing propers and repacks. This is clearly different. I've seen lots of Auto Organizer updates recently, and they're really in the right track. One addition that would be great is the ability to overwrite files (tv or movies) with new copies of the copy is higher resolution OR higher video bitrate OR both. While exploring this possibility, preferred encoding methods would be great too, but baby steps, right? For example, I might have a 720p version of something, then later get it 1080p. Would be great to auto organize without manual interaction. Then when I recode the 1080p to HEVC, that preference could let the plugin overwrite H264 1080p 20mbps with the HEVC/H265 1080p 10mbps.
Siutsch 9 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Another question: ATM you only can choose "Overwrite exitsing episodes". So, if I have a series with english episodes and now there are episodes available for another language, all epsiodes will be overwritten with the new ones or, if "Overwrite exitsing episodes" isn't selected, you have to manually choose, what to do, but you only can overwrite the existing episode or do nothing. Perhaps it is possible to keep the existing episode and move the new one additionally? Perhaps as "%sn.S%0sE%0e.%en.%language.%ext" or so? This would be great.
computerprep 148 Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 An idea just occurred to me that might facilitate some of these with minimal changes... Multiple watch folders with isolated settings. Primary watch folder might remain in "no overwrite" mode, maybe even with a higher minimum filesize restriction. Secondary watch folder might be my automated reencodings folder. This could be set to overwrite with a much smaller minimum filesize restriction. I feel like I've read other requests for multiple watch folders, so this would satisfy those as well.
Luke 42077 Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Perhaps @@PoppyPop might be interested in some of these.
