Stuttering during recording

I can watch live channels fine in 1080 without stuttering.  When I record though, all my recordings are stuttering.  It's not just during playback on my devices...when I go to the actual recording on the server it is stuttering.  Can anyone give any help or advice on that?  I've researched and I've troubleshooted about as much as I can think of.  It's happening on both my local channels from the HDHomerun box and the streaming channels.

The recording is pausing and then it will skip ahead a little bit and pause again. It seems like everything is ok the first 30-60 secs then that starts and it gets worse as it goes along. I went to my server to play the video files there and they were pausing/stuttering in the same place they were on the client device. So to further test I downloaded a video and loaded it in my library. When I played it from the client it played fine. Best I can tell shows are getting recorded with those sputters and it’s not about the connection.

Actually, I felt like anything I did was making it worse so out of frustration I uninstalled and reinstalled Emby Server and everything seems to be working fine now.
