kraythax 0 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) I have come over from plex and started with my music library and I am wondering why when I look at my albums tab I see nothing when items are clearly tagged with albums and also some very common metadata like "What I Like about You" by the Romantics is missing. Is there something I need to configure or set up to improve metadata coverage and how do I get albums to show up? Also how can I get ALL music to sync to my galaxy 9? I can create the job but it stays "queued" and doesnt ever finish. Edited April 5, 2018 by kraythax
legallink 187 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I would post this as two separate requests. One in the Android forum with a sync issue. The second as a metadata music issue. You’ll also want to provide more detail as to folder structure and possibly server logs if there is some sort of error.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Music metadata is going to b almost entirely down to ID3 tags. Make sure those are set correctly using a tool like MP3Tag and then scan your music library.
Luke 42092 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 hi @@kraythax, what does your music folder structure look like?
kraythax 0 Posted April 6, 2018 Author Posted April 6, 2018 hi @@kraythax, what does your music folder structure look like? Its just a single folder with all files in it. The odd thing I I see no albums in the folder but when I hit shuffle, it starts shuffle playing.

Luke 42092 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Hi, at this point we don't fully support your folder structure. We do currently require some minimal structure of at least having folders for each album. We hope to support mish mash folder structures in the future and have started planning for it, but we're not quite there yet.
