Volume slider and gesture does not work

Hi

 

The volume control used to work not sure what happened there but as of now the volume slider does not change the volume at all, anbd the volume gesture seems to be gone, meaning no on screeen display shows up when doing the gesture on the right side. The brightness gesture works.

 

I am using LineageOs 7.1

Luke, sure. What kind of details do you need? It is a simple operation really and moving the slider left and right does not change the volume of the device.

Steps to reproduce?

I open a video  using my phone as a remote for my tablet. So phone controls my tablet using playon thing, I select the video in phone, but plays on the tablet. Once the video is playing on the tablet (lineageos 7.1) I try to change the volume using the volume slider on the playing screen or using the right screen gesture, and it has no affect on the volume of the device . It does not work. It used to though.

In 3.0.00 brightness adjustment works fine (slide up and down on the LHS) - but touching anywhere on the RHS immediately sets the volume to max, no UI is displayed.

I've noticed that the volume doesn't keep what my system media volume is set at and instead is always set to max when starting playback, even when I have volume on system all the way down and I can't hear anything. Sudden shock then, when I accidentally swipe on right hand side and get blasting sound.

So the volume gesture bug is partly fixed now for me. It still goes full blast max volume if I touch the zone where the volume gesture occurs. However, now I can gesture down and up after it sets itself to max.

 

So ear damage is still an issue for me if using earbuds lol.
