Emby Connect Username wont work if email is username

Hello, 

 

I am very new to Emby, and am looking to connect to a specific Emby server.  I created a username (my email address) and password, created a server, and then I was ready to connect to the specific server.  As I went to connect to it, I get the error message that says "username input not valid" or something along those lines.  I read a few potential fixes on the forums, went to shut down my server and restart to see if that would fix it, and now I can't start my server back up.  I think the easiest solution would be to either start from scratch, or create a new email account and start over. 

 

What I am wanting to do is completely start from scratch.  I want to delete my account/server, create a new username (that will not be my email address), and go from there.  Can someone walk me through how to do this? 

 

Or should I create a new email address just for creating a new Emby account?

If you are using Connect are you using your forum name and password?

 

To me this sounds like you made a Local user account (I created a username (my email address) and password).

Hi yes, where exactly did you create the account? Was this inside your emby server, or was it on the emby website? Thanks !
