24changer 3 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Is there a way that MB3 will not use the "The" when alphabetizing the movies titles? I have looked though the options but did not see it or I have over looked it. Thanks
ebr 16177 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 This is a function of the server now. If you are having problems where your titles are sorting by "The" and "A/An" then your metadata probably contains overriding sort title information. If your metadata contains an explicit sort title, we will use that exact item to sort by. So, you need to just remove the sort titles if this is the case and let MB sort more intelligently.
24changer 3 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 I am using GD3 with Auto Rip n Compress, I will check the settings in that. Thank you for the reply
ebr 16177 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I don't know what GD3 is. Is that a metadata editor?
24changer 3 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 I don't know what GD3 is. Is that a metadata editor? https://www.getdigitaldata.com/GD3. I look in the settings there were no sort options to uncheck. I believe I am confused as to were to look for an override or to remove the sort titles. Should I just delete this GD3 metadata?
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Check the metadata in the server portion of MediaBrowser. Go into the item and click Edit.
ebr 16177 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 We have some very good tutorials and guides in the KB section out here. Editing - Metadata and People
