Lock video - prevent deletion

A new feature that might be of use would be a lock video button.

 

If there are multiple users with delete permissions who share a common library, it might be useful to have a lock icon available on a episode or movie's details screen next to the Watched check mark.

 

If user 'A' has a TV episode they want to watch again, it would be helpful to lock that episode so that user 'B' doesn't intentionally delete it. In fact, nobody can delete the episode until either user A or B presses the lock button to unlock it.

 

It's not a permanent lock, it's simply a fail-safe to prevent unintentional/unwanted deletion. If that episode or movie provide some sort of value to a user, it would be unfortunate if it was deleted. This would also provide as a reminder to the "locking user" to not delete the media.

I would love this, I've had DVR recordings deleted by other users ;/

I don't want to take away user ability to delete entirely since they manage their own DVR recordings, so I continue to leave 'Allow Live TV recording management' enabled

At least I'm consistent, I needed this feature again tonight to prevent deletion of some episodes I'd like to keep as a digital video archive. I did a search and found my old request thread.

 

I'd still feel like a deletion lock would be a great feature to include!
