shepP 7 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I wanted to be able to put a bluray disc in and have it autoplay while still in MTB.Autoplay with windows will only allow you to use the standalone TMT player which doesn't accept MCE remote commands.Enable autoplay for TMT5 for BluRay in the control panelUsing Regedit Navigate to:HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DigitalTheatre5OpenBD\shell\open\commandRight click - ModifyChange uLaunchTMT5.exe to uMCEPlayer5.exeIt will now launch MCEplayer instead.
Xzener 729 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 May I ask why you aren't using MBTs internal player? It does very well with Bluray playback.
shepP 7 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 Sure, and BTW I LOVE your MB icons. I still use them with folder navigation! I want to access the menus, 3D playback, and the internal player is tearing with my system. I know eventually the tearing will get fixed and I can dump MPC-HC as my external player for everything else, but I think TMT 5 will be the only way I can get menus (special features) and 3D. Of course if we get 3D with the internal player a button that I could press to launch TMT 5 (or the option to do so when I insert a disc) would be the ultimate solution!
Xzener 729 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Thanks for supporting my icons. Those are good reasons to want to use TMT5. As you may already know, MBT is still Alpha and being worked on extensivly behind the scenes... I would highly recommend MBC for now as TMT5 seems to work very well ATM. I only rip my Blurays with just the main movie, so I have no experience with menus... But I do know that TMT5 works great with 2D and 3D playback. Please be patient with MBT, it is constantly evolving. Good luck.
shepP 7 Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) I think MBT is great in alpha and it looks fantastic! It really shines on my 12' wide 16x9 screen. I literally go down some nights and just mess around with MBT and check which new video backdrop has been downloaded or what new feature has been added. I'm using it now exclusively for my HTPC front end. I love not having to use WMC. One less thing to worry about. It runs MPC-HC as an external player for .mkv and such, just not for MP4 or video backdrops won't work. I have very few .mp4 videos as when I encode now I use .mkv so it doesn't really matter. I can always switch over to my hardware media player if I can't live without something. TMT 5 works great as an external player, with the exception of auto refesh rate changing, which seems to make it crash, but I set up two manual buttons in iRule to force the resolution to either 23hz or 60hz for when I choose to watch extras. And that is a work around for a TMT 5 limitation not MBT Sure I get the occasional error when trying to navigate into my folders, but it's easily acknowledged and I move on. So in summary I have no patience with MBT because I'm not really waiting for anything Although my 8 year needs to learn some patience. I just upgrade a server so it could serve media to the whole family. He asks me daily when the iso7 ipod app is going to be updated to fix things. Something about a resume problem he keeps going on about:P Edited March 22, 2014 by shepP 1
