Deleting movies from Emby server doesn't get rid of the movie posters of the deleted movies on Emby :(

I still see the movie posters for deleted movies.

How to I prevent this or have it refresh so this doesn't happen ? Thanks.

No the movies are still not there but the movie posters are on the Movies folder on Emby. If you need a screenshot that is fine.

I have not observed this.

I have not observed this.

Is it because I have my Windows 10 setup like this? Limited or local user account for everything.

I don't use a Admin account I keep UAC on and locked down.

How did you delete them?

From the Windows Explorer directory that is pointed to on my Emby server.

Then it's expected behavior. If you delete that way then you need to delete the related files.

If you delete using emby then it will delete the files for you.

You'll have to delete them in Windows explorer.

You'll have to delete them in Windows explorer.

Yes but where are the poster image files located ?

Where are you seeing them? If they're still showing up in emby then you can just delete them in emby.

To answer your original question, they're still in emby because you haven't run a library scan after deleting the files.

Oh that's all this has been about is the Auto generated thumbnail? That is regenerated once per week.

Yes.

Anyway to make it regenerate more often ?

Not at this time. We used to generate it more often but that led to complaints about CPU usage.

Ok no problem.

I am just glad it does it automatically even if it is only every week.
