arrbee99 1817 Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 A few weeks ago I sent invites to family members to join Emby Connect, but I forgot to mention it to them and I think they timed out, is there any way to re-invite them without having to think up new user names and stuff for them. Looked in the Wiki but couldn't spot anything, unless of course I missed it.

arrbee99 1817 Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 I created users. Sorry, am confusing myself with whats going on. As far as I can tell, one person tried responding to their invite today and it didn't work, I presumed because it was too old, though maybe that wasn't the reason, but another person responded and it was accepted fine. The first person can click on their name to log in Chrome and it works but the second has to enter their password. Maybe I should just get them to use it under their new accounts and see how it goes for now. Thanks very much. Will probably be pestering you soon...

arrbee99 1817 Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Well I think I invited them OK, and I just discovered you can accept an invite in Emby Theater - who knew ? Would just like to find out why only one of the three I invited needs a password when not using Connect to log in.

Most likely, it is the way they are logging in. The ones that don't require passwords, have successfully logged in with Connect (PIN process). The one being prompted is just logging into the server as a normal user.
arrbee99 1817 Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 As far as I remember, they've all logged in as ordinary users and all logged in using Connect. But I guess it won't matter as long as they use that Remember Me thing so the password thing won't be used much anyway. Probably won't worry about it for now. You have to have your own media to use emby, or know a person who is running their own server. And have them invite you. It's very unlikely that someone here will invite you to use their server if they don't know you. This should give a place to start. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/forum/49-server/
