building new server for emby, but how many cores can emby handel?

Im thinking of updating my server hardware from a amd 6386se to a amd epyc 7401p 

but can emby make use off 48 threads? or is it better to go for a thread ripper 16core and get higher frequencies?

It's hard to say which is better but yes emby can use all cores.
