Hi,

Could someone please advise where the watched status is stored?  My PC has become a bit flaky with all the various clients I've been trying out and I want to do a new fresh build.  But I don't really want to have take a note of which movies and shows I've watched and then manually set that state when I install MB3 to the fresh build.

Is there some way to export and import these status's?  Even better if I can export and import the entire config so I don't have to recreate it again :)

thanks

Use the trakt plugin. Sync your watch status to Trakt. After you reinstall, sync it back to MBS.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Cool concept but wasn't comfortable with the privacy agreement.  I've ended up taking screenshots and manually re-applying

I installed Trakt and did the sync. It however seems that only items watched since installation of Trakt is updated and items watched before installation is not synced. This means that Trakt is not a solution to transfer ALL watched statuses. Or am I doing something wrong?

Agree. Can be a massive job to do manually if you have lots of shows/users.

Surely there must be an easier way. The watched information must be in a database stored somewhere. Would also like to transfer other MB3 settings. Must thus be able to install MB Server on new machine and then just copy the data files from old server to correct location on new server. Can anybody shed light on where the data files are kept and which ones should be transferred?

You need to click on the option to "Sync library to trakt.tv". It will sync the entire library and not just your current stuff which is all it will sync unless you run that at least once.

I too just moved from one system to another.

I installed Trakt and have manually synced to the server. The Trakt website shows all of my collections, but reports nothing has been watched.

I have tried sync manually multiple times.  Am I missing something?

The trakt plugin doesn't currently send watched status to trakt.tv when you run the sync library task. That will change with the next trakt update.

Is there another way to transfer watched progress? Other than doing it manually?

userdata_v2.db has information about wathed/unwatched and playstate. Before transfer make sure that on new server are exactly same (with old spelling) users and media folders. Stop server and rewrite file. WARNING: back up the files before action!

Thank you gcw07. That is exactly what I have done (several times) but it did not work. Seems the answer lies in following reply from Redshirt:

Thanks Redshirt. Any idea when the next update will be available?

Hi WWWestern can you give as an indication where this file is located?

Also do you have any idea where other MB settings are saved?

Thks for your help.

If you enter exactly what Happy typed in an explorer window, it will take you to that directory.  The "%appdata%" is a special value that will resolve to the current user's application data folder.

Type "%appdata%" into an explorer address bar.  It will take you to the roaming appdata folder for the current user.

Well bah! yeah, tried that, worked, tried what Happy2Play also posted, worked.. logically though, it LOOKS like it should need that \roaming\ .. laff.  Ok I blame PINE! grin
