Android TV Zoom option doesn't seem to work right

I tested this with a 4:3 live transmission but it's the same with a 16:9 as well.

 

If I select vertical stretch I expected to see the letterboxed image in the center stretched at the top and bottom, instead the whole picture was moved to the top:

 

 

If I select horizontal stretch, I expected to see the left and right borders stretched, instead the whole picture was moved to the left:

 

 

And finally if I select Zoom it moves the picture to the top left of the screen:

 

 

The white space inside the pictures means the black bars added by the player.
