heciruam 30 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Hello, I'm having a little bit of trouble figuring out how I can add Profil picture to one of my "Guest accounts". I can't seem to be able to add the picture from my admin account over the server. If go into the server with the account I want to add the picture I can't access the same setting where I would usually add the picture for the admin account. I see a possibility to upload that on the forums for that account, but I don't believe thats right. How can I do that? Thanks
ebr 16199 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I see a possibility to upload that on the forums for that account, but I don't believe thats right. Emby Connect (Guest) accounts do actually use the avatar for the forum user. So you can change it there (or use Gravitar).
heciruam 30 Posted March 27, 2018 Author Posted March 27, 2018 OK I added gravatar to the guest user and the small little icon on top now has the gravatar picture if I am logged in with that account. However if I go to the login page to my server without being logged in and the guest account doesn't have a picture. Also I would like to know if I can change the name the guest users are displayed. I can change my name under 'Dashboard>Users>click on admin account>name' It doesn't seem possible with the guest account. I even tried giving that guest account access to manage the server to get the same settings page, but I can't change the name. Is there any way to do that?
Luke 42090 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 It all comes from Emby Connect, so it would have to be done using the forum features.
heciruam 30 Posted March 27, 2018 Author Posted March 27, 2018 (edited) So the forum user settings and emby connect are always in sync and changing the name is not possible? Edited March 27, 2018 by heciruam
Luke 42090 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Well it's possible for the future to allow that but currently that is the way it is designed. 1
