radeon 755 Posted November 9, 2025 Author Posted November 9, 2025 @GrimReaperheya pal, do you think you can do me a favour and pull the last few block of comments about ytrailers which is unrelated to movie theme songs and put them into another thread? Rightfully people are interested in updates but I want to make sure each plugin has it's own thread as it's hard enough to keep track of as it is. Cheers!

Sure, is there a particular YTrailers thread you want me to merge it with or you'd prefer to create a new one? Edit: Nvm, I've just split them to the topic from October 5, that one was recent enough. apachelance 12 Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 @radeonLately I am getting a lot of errors with this plugin. It looks like that the sources are not reliable. radeon 755 Posted December 17, 2025 Author Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) Sorry all for the radio silence, half year end for me with my real job so everything gets hectic! The source is self hosted files so shouldn't be having issues. It's not a third party source so to speak. Media fire are yet to respond to my ticket request to give an insight into why it's been rubbish of late. I'll let you know what they say Edited December 17, 2025 by radeon 1
mrtj18 4 Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 (edited) Hello, I just purchased the plug-in pack, got it installed and I can see it's working with the theme videos and music. But I have 2 questions. 1.) after installing and setting up the plug-in, I'm getting a ton of folders related to the setup. ( I'm assuming it's saving the videos and music in the attached screen shots) How do I clean this up? While keeping my media in tact? (This screenshot is from my android phone menu option) I changed the "save artwork into media folders" option to on. It was previously off. And attempted to re-scan my media, but It didn't do anything. 2.) does this plugin work with Kodi? If so, how do we enable it? Thanks Edited December 23, 2025 by mrtj18
radeon 755 Posted December 23, 2025 Author Posted December 23, 2025 Looks all unrelated pal. The plugin doesn't create random folder names. Only folder name it creates would be backdrops. Playback is controlled by the clients. To simplify it, once themes are downloaded to their respective folders, their job is done.

I didn't have this issue, until I installed the plug-in, I'm kinda lost to how to resolve it. Because it looks like my server is transcoding the theme video files, and creating temporary folders for each video. (See attached photos) If this is not the issue, would you be able to point me in the right direction? Edited December 23, 2025 by mrtj18
radeon 755 Posted December 23, 2025 Author Posted December 23, 2025 Hmm,only thing I can think of is the audio normalisation. That calls to emby server to run up ffmpeg which could be creating temp folders. I'd suggest turning off audio normalisation in the plugin settings and clearing down your temp dir. Not quite sure what library config you have but whatever it is, it shouldn't be monitoring any temp directories for media.

Thank you I give it a shot, and I will attempt to to manually delete those temporary folders.

apachelance 12 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Unfortunately, I've got the impression that these plugins are not longer maintained.
radeon 755 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Not at all. I explained it was my half year end, and now I'm taking some time off.
Gaevonn 0 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 @radeonSorry to bother you, but was not sure if you were still away. I am still getting the same errors from mediafire when using the Themes Plugin where it cannot retrieve the files. I will post it below. Did you ever get a response from MediaFire on this issue? radeon 755 Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Yo! Sorry for the delay! Media fire are basically talking rubbish. They claimed infringment first, I queried their own terms and they basically lied. I'm in the process of looking at a new host but with 2tb of themes, it's proving a little trickier than I'd like. That said, I'm also looking at better moderation as I'm getting a bit sick of random trailers being uploaded so I might look to open contributions to key people that get auto added then have a moderation pile that has to be manually checked before it's made public. I have quite a few ideas in the pipeline but would ideally like to sort the hosting bit out first before I go changing the upload and moderation structure. 3
