dranderson402 31 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Wondering if I'm doing something wrong but why don't I see my recorded tv shows that I watch show up under the next up section? Is it because I have 2 different libraries for tv shows? On library is for my collected tv series that I had prior to the dvr function. Then once I started using the dvr it created another library. The recorded tv library is mixed content while the other is for tv series. Do I need to make the recorded tv shows folder (which is in a different folder) one of the folders for the tv series library?

I'm looking at the main next up sections on both the web dashboard and the android tv app. I was trying to get used to the android app and when I want to watch the next up recorded episode I have to trek through the menus using the main recorded section at the top just so I can play the next episode if I have more than one. If just one episode is there then I can get to it directly from the latest recordings section at the beginning.

dranderson402 31 Posted March 27, 2018 Author Posted March 27, 2018 (edited) I have series, seasons and episodes under both my TV Series library and Recordings library. I have attached 2 screen shots showing the libraries and their paths as well as the settings for the path under the dvr settings. I added a 3rd image showing the section of the home page of the web view. The below image shows Next Up which only has shows from the TV Series library. The Latest TV Series row also only show items from TV Series. The 3rd row is the latest recordings.The first 3 recordings are shows I've watched within the past week. The 4th show I just watched an episode (not the most recent) last night. All of those recently recorded shows I have watch more recent than the 1st episode listed in Next Up and all the latest recordings are newer than the Next Up episode of The Path. I also see the same thing on the home screen of the android tv app under Next Up. None of the recordings show up under Next Up. Edited March 27, 2018 by dranderson402

ebr 16187 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Also, do you delete those items as you watch them? I think if you don't still have the previously watched episode in your library, Next Up will not show the next one (because it thinks you haven't started watching the show yet).

To also answer ebr, yes, I do delete recordings after I watch them. However, the series The Resident still has remaining unwatched episodes but I do delete them as I watch them. So no watched episodes for that series. The first 1st and 3rd latest recordings didn't have any other episodes prior to them being recorded. The 2nd, Scorpion, did have one unwatched episode but no watched episodes. So I would have to leave the last watched episode there for the series to show up under Next Up?
