The option explanations for trakt are worded a bit confusingly and Im not sure how to set up the plugin to work the way I want

I want to set it up so that whenever I watch something on emby/kodi trakt will set it to watched (this seems to work). Additionally, when I manually check something as watched and unwatched, I want trakt to update accordingly. I just tested this by manually setting something to watched and syncing the plugin, but my trakt profile doesnt add it to history

Essentially, I just want trakt to mirror exactly what I do on emby, whether its manually changing status (to either watched or unwatched) or changing automatically as soon as I watch something

Which settings should be used to get this type of behaviour?

More generally, can anyone explain what each setting does?

As far as explaining settings, which ones do you have questions about? I would like to resolve this by improving their help text. Thanks.

So I think it wasnt working because I was reading the help text and had changed some of the options before I ran the first sync. Right now, I have the first 2 options checked (Skip unwatched import, and Update watched history) and I think its working

Specifically, its the second option that throws me off. "Update watched history on Trakt" suggests that Emby changes will be synced with Trakt, therefore, I would want the box to be ticked

However, the following part suggests it does the opposite of what the above text says: "This changes it so that emby just copies the status of trakt, and the only time data watched status is changed on trakt is when a video just finished playing (just scrobbles, no history changes)". To me, thats saying that if I tick the box, emby will be updated with trakt status (one way), and manual changes I make in emby wont be updated on trakt. For that reason I unticked the box because I wanted a 2-way sync. I'm guessing I was wrong to think that?

More generally the words "by default" can be a bit ambiguous. Im guessing "default" is whatever settings come pre-ticked when first installed. But what if someone had installed the plugin months ago and changed some settings. "default" has now lost its meaning. Minor issue, but would prefer if the help text more specifically explained what the option would do if enabled or disabled

OK i will look at improving that text, thanks. I believe those settings are only utilized in the one-off scheduled tasks that you can run if you ever choose to.
