Up Next Incorrect?

So, I've got an issue that's more of an annoyance than anything, but one series continues to be incorrect in up next:

So, as you can see, I've been watching s88e94 of Game Grumps. My expectation would be that s88e95 of Game Grumps would be in the up next section. Every other series in Up Next is correct, except for Game Grumps. I have marked the series it shows as watched, then unwatched, and it just moves on randomly to another season. Any files/settings I'm missing to restore/fix the up next issue?

can you show us how your episode files are named for that series? thanks.

It follows Plex Naming,since I migrated from that, so:

 

Game Grumps - SxxExx.mkv

 

Although to be fair it’s a YouTube series, so the only metadata comes from thetvdb, not any actual IMDb-style info.

@@Luke so in the meantime should I not mess with it? I'm not sure why it's doing it only for this series.

 

Having perused the forums a bit, I can see that this has been a hit or miss issue with a lot of folks. I can confirm that the episodes I have been watching have nothing in the "Sort Title" field, so it should just automatically go to the next episode in the season I was watching, no?

 

If there's any other information that can be helpful, let me know. Otherwise I await any developments. Thanks for your help and hard work!

So, a little bit of an update: 

 

This show is a Let's Play, and my ADHD doesn't let me watch too much of one series before I move on to another one, and then return to finish it later. So it looks like I was watching some of one series, then going to another.

 

For some reason, my trakt.tv plugin glitched and marked random episodes in seasons as watched, hence the randomly selected next up.

 

So while that explains the random episodes, I guess my confusion still stems from the fact that emby didn't track which episode I had actually watched last and logically chosen the next episode from there, rather than the next chronological episode in the Season/Episode format.

 

So, for example, if the earliest unwatched episode is S22E35, but the last episode I physically chose to watch was S45E36, why doesn't emby logically choose S45E37 as the next up, since that's the one after the one I chose to watch? It currently displays S22E36 as the "next up".

 

On a side note, plex has a feature where I can play the next unwatched episode from a season's page. Is there anyway to do that from Emby? Because if that were possible, couldn't I just not have Game Grumps show up in the next up section and just go to the season I was on and play from there?
