tdiguy 99 Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) I don't run many things on my emby server now and with the mi boxes and the fire tv i never transcode at worst it direct streams. Right now my server has been up 7 days but the memory usage ( physical ram ) is high and virtual is getting high. So i looked at the memory usage breakdown and i see process /opt/emby-server/system/Emby-Server -rogramdata /var/lib/emby -ffmped/opt/emby.. as being a really big resource sink at 4.3GB memory usage. FWIW the only thing showing on the dashboard for devices in use right now is the amazon fire tv direct playing a tv show. Edited March 22, 2018 by tdiguy
Solution Luke 42078 Posted March 22, 2018 Solution Posted March 22, 2018 Try removing the stats plugin. 2
tdiguy 99 Posted March 22, 2018 Author Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Looks better, havent restarted emby yet since the my wife is watching something but memory usage dropped from 90% to 60% for ram usage and 60% virtual to 37% virtual. CPU Usage has also gone down significantly. Hovering around 5% with 2 devices using direct play. It has been a few hours now since reboot and i am seeing memory usage has remained very low. I would not expect such a simple plugin to cause resource issues. Memory usage is now hovering between 8 and 15% and no virtual memory usage at all. TY @@Luke. Edited March 23, 2018 by tdiguy
