Luke 42078 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 i'm not sure why that happened byt try refreshing them using the web interface.
foghat 65 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Hi all, Some of my movies are not displaying a duration. Also some of my special feature don not display and time in the Server, but instead displays NaN:NaN - see screen shot. These movies have the file name repeat in MBT. See screen shot. The movie and special features play fine in mbt and display the correct duration when playing. However, when using roku, trying to play these files crash Media Browser and send me back to the home screen. you can see below that the Captain America special feature displays the correct time, shows properly in MBt and it also plays fine on roku. Has anyone seen this before? I don't have logs from this as the movie (thor) was added some time ago. Server display: MBT display:
foghat 65 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 That did it. thanks. I thought i tried that before posting, but I have a feeling I didn't click Save.

I suspect it may be happening to others as well, but may not be as apparent to most, as if you aren't adding special features (and hence getting that wonky duration or duplicate title) or trying to play the movie on roku, the only thing that looks off is that the movie duration does not display. A refresh fixes this. maybe it has something to do with the real time monitoring and it starting to grab stuff before the movie has fully copied to the folder the server is monitoring? - this can take 10-15 minutes for me.
Luke 42078 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 The copy takes 10-15 minutes? If that is the case then you should probably disable the real-time monitor and just use the library scan to poll for changes every X number of hours.
CFC 25 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) I "think" I'm having the same issue as well. I'm in the process of converting some old HD-DVD's to mkv and have been transferring them to the server. Every once in a while, I don't get any of the media details info pulled - no duration, aspect ratio, audio type, video bit rate.... Sometimes the simple metadata refresh pulls it, but for sometimes it doesn't. When that happens, the movie also doesn't have any of the "scenes" for chapter skipping. Not sure how else I can trigger it. I do use real time monitoring, but I'm on a gigabit link, so the files transfer in just a few minutes each. CFC Edited March 21, 2014 by CFC

My advertised gigabit NAS is actually 100mbps. The 10-15 minutes is for the main movie. The smaller special features could be a minute or less. It is strange, sometimes things work fine. Other times no. I will try with real time monitoring turned off for a bit and see what what happens.

CFC I've confirmed that I do not have the aspect ratio, audio type bitrate either when this happens. sounds like the same issue. Though a refresh has been working for me 100% so far. Are you remembering to Save each time?
Luke 42078 Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 you don't have to save after clicking the refresh button
CFC 25 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Same issue after latest update to 3.0.5192.19560 on 03/20/14 Refresh doesn't populate the media info at all, as a result can't seem to stream to apps, or play the file on the web player. What should I try? CFC
